Each year, the FiQ honours individuals, businesses and organisations for their creativity, their energy and their exceptional contribution to the industry’s growth.

At it’s annual GALA, the FiQ presents OCTAS awards in different categories to the laureates who are chosen by members of a jury comprised of different specialists from the information technology industry.

Since 1987, the OCTAS awards have become the standard bearer for excellence in the information technology industry in Quebec. During the OCTAS Gala, held each year in the month of May, alternately in Montreal and Quebec city, the FiQ rewards the most remarkable IT projects realised in the year .
